April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, began taking guitar and piano classes at age seven. She was interested in songwriting was sparked. April Lockhart wrote her first song, Different at age 12 years old. She spent a lot of the time of 14 writing songs, and practicing her music. Soon after she began taking excursions to write with her father in NY as well as LA. April started to include other subjects in her book Take My Hand to help those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure and even suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with a growing number of followers. She collaborates with famous brand Ilia together, along with being a specialist in lifestyle. She has a disability that is part of her character, but it's not the entire of the picture. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from the fact that she is disabled, but it's not focused on it in any way. The point? The message is that we are more than only our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and comprise a multitude of dimensions. We don't want to allow that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to become a person who is a disability-related influencer in the sense that I only talk about as there are different aspects to me Lockhart states in video form from her home in Nashville. My day-today life is not dependent on it. I go about my regular daily life, and come up with the solutions I have for my problems. Because it's also a component of me personally, it's something that's worth talking about. Lockhart is a great example to accept oneself in all aspects she is currently on a long path to reach this. Lockhart admits to having experienced periods when she was uncomfortable dressing in certain styles that revealed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. She also posts her pictures to social media. Self-love, according to her, is a process. "I doubt you'll ever get there," she said. It's a fact that I see with every person, whatever their vulnerability may be. I think that having people with you who know you and see your emotions is important as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worried about?
